okay so as far as you're concerned dynamic means they are using php or asp?
What about flash, cold fusion, perl, html/os, etc.? There are lot's of ways to make a dynamic site.
As far as you're concerned static sites means html. What about txt, pdf, images, etc.? There are lots of ways to do a static site as well.
Also just cause a site uses php or asp does not mean they are dynamic. What if the site is static but they use templates and just do php pages with include statements to include the header and footer but it's all still static stuff on the pages?
I think it is next to impossible to get acurate percentages on things like these because the data becomes very murky very quickly. It's like asking how many people in the United States are wearing Hanes underwear right now? You cannot answer that because by the time you collect the data it has changed.
