Hello-
OK, here's the deal: I'm in the process of taking over an outside website into our company. The website used an access database to store NEWS items. I've run a data transformation process to transfer the data in the ACCESS DATABASE to our MS-SQL database.
When I pull the information out of SQL and into PHP and display it on a web page, there is no carriage returns where they previously appeared on the clients site while pulling from the ACCESS DATABASE!
How can I get the carriage returns to appear? What exactly is going on here? I'm sure its just a case of ACCESS and SQL and PHP recognizing carriage returns differently, but how can I resolve this?
Also, on some of the really LONG articles in the news items, I've found that the text gets cut off after so many characters in the SQL table, even though it is set to TEXT. Any ideas on this?
Please help! I'm a little behind on this project...
Thanks!,
