PHP and MY SQL

A totally new dumb in PHP and MY SQL.

I got my sql installed on my server at the web hosting company.

Now using Dreamweaver I went to set up a my sql connection.

Question. What the heck I suppossed to do now? DO I have to design a PHP page to use it?

How do the thing works or what is used for.

Remember that I am new to this.

You could read the manual at mysql.com, though you could well be completely confused by it.

Better to get a book on PHP that covers the basics of connecting to databases using PHP, with mysql as an example.

Conversely, look up tutorials online.
