in mysql we are having the option LIMIT for pagination[ previous 23456 next]
how can we do the pagination[giving page numbers] using php and mysql server ie php and microsoft sqlserver

In case you don't have the LIMIT clause, you have to take care about that yourself. So it means that you have to read all records every time and skip those which are before the page which is currently displayed.

I don't have the code, but a friend of mine had found a stored procedure that allows you to specify the start and stop rows and would fetch the rows in between as a record set. This would emulate the limit function for you...
