Add " " in string

Eg $a = "hello";
echo $a; //hello

How do I make $a to be "hello" when echoed, that is to have the " ".

escape them:

$a = "\"hello\"";

or singlequote the string for php, then you don't need to escape doublequotes for the output.

$a = '"hello"';
