Opening hyperlink in _Blank

Hi.

I have some code that I am using to dynamically populate a table with data, and to produce hyperlinks where apropriate:

echo("<TR><TD><a href=" . $row["HperlinkAdd"] . ">$text</a></TR>");

The trouble is, when clicked, it navigates away from my site, so I need to amend it to open in _Blank

Can someone give me a hand and tell me the correct syntax for inserting it?

Look at the use of the target= option in HTML syntax....

Er, thanks for the comment - that`s what I have done. I need to insert target="_Blank".... So WHERE in that code, do I put it?

And it shows you on the google results page - number 2.....

Sorry, but

echo("<TR><TD><a href=" . $row["HperlinkAdd"] . " target="_Blank">$text</a></TR>");

produces parse errors in php. This is not simple html, that is why I am using this php forum to ask this question.

Yes it would - you need to escape the " with \ making it \"_blank\"

Personally I would go about it as follows

print("
<TR>
<TD><a href=\" $row[HperlinkAdd] \" target=\"_self\">$text</a></TD>
</TR>");

I often find errors that come from an echo statment are resloved with using the print statement.

It may have just been a typo but there was an </TD> missing in your code
