Question about the use of socket

Hi,

Please forget my poor in English.

I have to POST data to a URL(a program) and get response from it.

The only way I can find out is to use the function of socket.

There is a question:
How can I send cookie to a URL?

The step is:
1) login to URL(program a). I can get a cookie.
2) POST data to URL(program b)....but, URL(program b) wants me sent cookie to it..............I do not how to sent a cookie to it.

Can anyone kindly give me a hand?

As part of the request you send it, include a line in the header:

Cookie: [i]name of cookie[/i]=[i]value of cookie[/i]

Remembering to end the line with \r\n.

Tell the truth: that is my first time to feel so bad in PHP.

I think I have to learn..............🙁

My boss give me a work:

I have to writer a php program.
That php program can call/fopen/file/whatever a program A(program A is not writer by me) and POST id & password to it. Then program A will return a cookie to my php program.

Then, I have to call/fopen/file/xxx program B(program B is not writer by me too) and POST data to it. Program B will check my cookie. That is the problem....I know how to get cookie from program A, but I do not how to send it(cookie) to program B.

My God.......

Might take a look at the curl functions in the manual and then at the curl site for examples. Curl is basically a wrapper that hides much of the complexity of what you are trying to do.

Just make sure your site has curl enabled.
