[Resolved] Up and down in mysql table...

I have a MySQL table with the column 'id', and the only thing I know about it is the content of one cell in 'id' column.
I want to go one entry before and one entry after the known 'id' entry.

Example:

| Id | ...
| A | ...
|13 | ...
| B | ...

I want to know what A and B are, I don't know what row 13 is and A and B are not necessarily 12 and 14... Any ideas?

assuming the table is called "table" and the current id is in a variable called $id, you could do the following 2 queries giving you 2 variables: "prev" and "next"

SELECT id AS prev FROM table WHERE id < $id ORDER BY id DESC LIMIT 1

SELECT id AS next FROM table WHERE id > $id LIMIT 1
