mulitple forms...php includes...browswer http address

I code a form..and either place the php code to check the form, update the database etc. into the same page as the form or use an include to do so.

But what I don't like about this is in the browser http address, when I call form 2 from form 1 using an include, the browser still shows the address of form 1.

While it all works, it just seems tacky and not sure how I can do it anyother way. So prior to going to bed...wanted to post so that I can get up early feeling like a kid at Christmas and see what presents has been left for me....

Please, I do not want to use HTTP headers....thank you..there has to be a better way to do this.

not sure this is the xmas gift you wanted but why not simply break it into 2 files? 1 file displays the form, and the other file processes the form data

Thanks for the update...but that is what I already do...

scenario ;1)

form1
include to process form 1
(if good, does an include to form 2)...
browser shows the http address of form1
this scenario...has more browswer http addresses that are tack compared to the next scenario

scenario ;2)

form1 posts to form 2

form2
if form 1 in error...
then include form1..browser http still form2

else (form1 good)
form2 displays it's form
form2 posts to form3
form3
if form 2 in error...
then include form2..browser http still form3
else (form2 good)
form3 displays it's form

etc etc etc...

So..in scenaio 2....the http address displayed in the browswer is wroing whenever the form doing the post is included to show the form errors. So the browswer address will still be odd to the user half the time..assuming they make errors in every form..lol

Hope this explains where I am coming from...but where should I go from here?

What a mess..lol...I might just be crazy....but there got to be another way...

i'm still a little confused. what exactly do you WANT to see in your address bar, and why? you keep saying the address is wrong. what then would be right?

Technically...the address shown is correct, as the http address of what is being displayed is in fact the php page in use....it's just that if I have the following pages(forms)...wanted to keep the bloody name of the form in the http address even when it gets kicks backed because of errors, i..e ...division kicks back league...but display division in the browswer.

Maybe it just can't be done and I am beating a dead horse...but I do appreciate your taking the time to bear with me..
