input data using barcodereader

Hi all
I'm building an application to manage the inventory in the Company, I'm doing that using php and mysql, HTMl as well
So has some one ever used a barcode to do input data in a html form? is there any restriction or something weird to be aware of?

I tested it thought, but what happens is as soon I scan a barcode, it is like I clicked the submit button, what I want is to go to the next input data instead.

Not sure if this will help but...

In order to get around the problem of the barcode reader doing an submit function after a scan I had to reprogramme the barcode scanner to not perform an enter function at the end of each scan. It was simply a scan of a barcode from the scanners manual I found on the Internet.
