how to convert svg page called .php to png

I understand that batik is a good tool for converting svg to png

My trouble is, how do I take a file called .php which outputs svg into a file called.png? I assume there is a way to export the output and call the output .svg, but I have had no luck.

I'm sure this is basic, but I just can't find anything on it.
