IE Bug testing

Can any of you verify that this bug shows up for you or not, and if so, what browser, browser version, and OS version?

Actually, I'm trying to narrow down what combinations this affects (similar combination occurs in a company webapp), just trying to find out who would be affected.

I'm suprisingly not in IE-bashing mode today 😃

I am. It ignores all of my option tag CSS, and my boss is pissed. Of course...it's not really my fault he's blind and wants 18 point Arial font for options

IE 6 = yes
IE 5.5 = no
IE 5.01 = no

--On Mac OS X 10.3.2--

IE 5.2 = no

Use ems to define font sizes so they can be resized, and make it his job to enlarge them 😃

I've tried defining the font size in different ways, but none of them take. I told him he's just going to have to deal with it. All works great on Mozilla, just not IE.

What I usually do, is define the font as a percentage for the body, like 85%, then use ems everywhere else. Does a pretty good job of making all the font sizes match across different browsers, and allows font resizing in IE (and other browsers, of course)

bug exists in 6.0.2800.1106.xpsp2.030422-1633 (newest patched version)

Ditto Moonglobe's observation. The text vanishes every time IE renders the page (if you switch to another app overlapping the window, and then switch back again, for example.) Almost: got some weird effects from messing with the size of the window to get the page to scroll, but nothing that looks like a reasonable consequence of anything else.
