[Resolved] variables in regular expressions

can variables be used in regular expression??

If so, can somebody tell me how to look in $variable for:
$test_ereg_one.....then any number of alphanumeric characters.....then $test_ereg_two.

I really need to learn regular expressions. Anybody know of any tutorials on them???

The expressions are just strings, so yes, you can have variables in them the same way you can put variables into strings.

I think probably by doing what you mentioned in your first post: learning regular exp. by reading tutorials (no offense meant 😉).
