Hello there.. I am looking for some good beginer's resources for getting a fundamental understanding of php code.. I dont want to become some super hack. I just want to learn the basic guidlines. If I can get that far, then maybe I'll be able to dive in a little more.. Any sugs..

Like Billet I too started by using a book and looking at the examples that are in the online manual.

I found the Luke Welling and Laura Thomson book PHP and MySQL Web Development published by Sams exellent. There are many sample codes on disk as well as binaries for PHP and MySQL with very good installation instructions for IIS and Apache.

At the time about $90 AU around $50 us.

Again, learnt the basics througha book, but spent most of ym time fiddling around with other people's code and setting ymself targets and not giving up till they were met.

I also learnt ALOT here, you get soem very sueful answers on these boards.

The manual is also a lifesaver.
