I've been tasked with trying to duplicate the search functionality of the village voice for a small research group. does anyone know if this functionality exists in another form somewhere?

edit: this is what i find valuable about the village voice search:
step process. first step, choose manhattan. second step, choose a neighborhood in manhattan (optional: select price range). third step, review available apartments. fourth step, "save" ads (which redirects the ads you selected to a printable page in order).
i'm much better at editing php than writing it, so i'm hoping there is a product out there that already utilizes similar functionality. no sense in duplicating efforts... thanks!
