is there an alternative to the

function imgresize()
that dosent require the gd lib or image magic

I have tried to contact my hosting serever and they never reply back to me. and they say 24/7 support.

I am trying to incorporate and image resize in my scripts

Let's put it this way: any sane solution would involve dealing with your hosting provider to install appropriate software. If you can't get any joy out of them with something like GD Lib, you won't get anything out of them with anything less conventional.
