Apache or iis for win2k?

I am new at php having come from asp development. I am having to develop a fairly simple database driven site in php for a client. I work on a win 2k box with iis but will be posting to an ISP with apache server and mysql. basically my questions are:

1) Being that the production box will be Apache, are there any disadvantages in developing on IIS before posting?
2) What are the pros and cons of IIS vs Apache on win2k for php dev? I will be installing MySql on my win2k box for dev.

I would appreciate any comments on the above or links to helpful articles. I have done some reading (php.net) but can't seem to get the big picture of iis vs Apache in my situation (being a newbie).

Although I mostly develop for Apache servers, I chose IIS as my development platform because it's easier to set up PHP with it and to administer (integrated GUI admin tools vs. custom text files).
I haven't encountered any portability problems.
Just keep in mind that Unix file paths are different from windows, but since I use relative paths in my applications that wasn't an issue.

This may or may not be an option..

You might want to use a utility like dreamweaver to use the web page section to do the php on the remote system..
that way, you are compatible.. because it's the same system..
but that may also not be an option.. just an idea.
