Adding line breaks to entries in TEXT type field?

Afternoon,

I have a TEXT type field which holds serial numbers in the format:

aaabbccc123 (break here)
dddeefff234 (break here)
ggghhiii567

etc. Unfortunately, I can't change this field to a different field type to make it more useable.

What I was wondering is, is there any way I can use PHP to break after each line so they display as

aaabbccc123
dddeefff234
ggghhiii567

rather than

aaabbccc123 dddeefff234 ggghhiii567
