PHP-nuke

I was wondering if anyone had any ideas on how to install php nuke? i've changed all of my variables in my config.php file, uploaded everything to the website i want it at. I go to the website and all i get is a blank page.

have you setup the database correctly and upload nuke.sql ?

i uploaded nuke.sql so i assume its set up properly.

first you should go to the yourdomain.com/admin.php and open an admin account,can you open admin.php?

nope i can't get to admin.php, it comes up blank too. Do i need to put all of the files that come with it in the same folder...i just uploaded the file nuke and with it nuke/html and nuke/admin etc
do i need to take those file out so that they are in folder nuke

i still can't get it to work but if i try to access a module directly it knows that i shouldn't be allowed to do so. I was also wondering if anyone has developed any kind of CMS that is like nuke in the completness sense on their own?

everything inside the html folder is uploaded into your main folder (eg: public_html or www)
and the sql file inside the sql folder should be inserted into your database whether you use an external program or a web-based program (eg: phpmyadmin)
once all that has done successfully
then point your browser to http://www.yourdomain.com/admin.php

I did all of that. Everything is uploaded properly and i've uploaded the sql file using phpmyadmin.

i did that so everything under the html folder is in the root of my website so i go to www2.truman.edu/~d1514 and it is supposed to give me the website which it does in a sense, it's just blank. The title says PHP-Nuke Powered Site...its just nuke doesn't show up

Sorry to sound as if im attacking you. But your on a PHP Board we are more than willing to help but why use PHPNuke?

Yes its a quick fix and yes you can be up in minutes or in your case not up at all.

Im not sure on why it isnt working maybe PHPNuke Userbase/forums can help, remember they are the creators, users and have good knowledge with the it.

On the other hand im sure you can learn PHP and build your own, it wont take as long as you think to learn PHP and build a simple CMS

i originally started with phpnuke, as i found it a very good source of information to figure out how the whole programming thing ticks.
now ive been coding for a while, and i dont think that i would use a program for the website, although i would use a forum program.
I think that one of the best feelings is to have created a fully working bug-free content-filled dynamic website on your own or with a designer for the interface 🙂

as for your problem im surprised that it has not spit out an error.
if there is no luck on the phpnuke forums (http://www.nukecops.com/forums.html - not official but the post count is high so you should be able to get your answers there)

what you can try is to clear the db from all the tables, delete all the phpnuke folders and files, and then reupload everything

ideally i would like to make a complete cms on my own. that may be a project for the summer, we'll have to see. Also i'm not very good at php yet so i'm not sure where to start. Right now i don't have the spare time to spend coding like i would like to. Thanks for the info on the nuke forums. I'll try there, and i guess i could try dropping everything from my database and see if that works.
