Not PHP Related (rather, html form)

Does anyone know where I can find the code for a drop down menu for States and Countries? I really, really don't want to have to type these things out 🙂.

Google, of course. Grief, if you're that scared of doing a bit of work for yourself just find another site that already has one and nick that.

And why ask in a PHP forum? Can't be bothered to look for yourself?

Chill off, it's not like you were expecting to find something PHP related in a non-php related titled thread. But then again, who reads titles anymore.

I asked becuase there was no apparent solution at the time, and I checked around on google, typing in keywords such as "form input states" and such, continually came up with tax related information.

If your going to try to prove my ignorant, then atleast back up some links with some simple search terms, which lead up to the information I seek.

I did find the information, but not through searching. I went on a site which uses the drop down menu I want, and just selected the option values that i wanted. Works fine.

I ask a lot of questions here but I always get great responses which keep me coming back for more information (I do search before I post). So don't post in a question thread when all your going to do is flame for "making a useless thread", which in fact your just making a useless reply.

I would like to appologize for one point though. Your solution was obvious, and something I thought of probably the same time you did. I should have known. I did however do searches, I just suppose I didn't put enough thought in to it. I understand where your coming from. I would rather not do other people's work all day. So for that, I am sorry.

Well, part of my job here is to keep the signal/noise ratio on this forum high enough that it continues to be useful for people looking for help with PHP. Non-PHP related questions are noise.

As a suggestion of the sort of search that might turn up, you can do stuff like this.
Knowing that Google and Yahoo (for example) have directories, one could also look under Regional->Countries etc. Working with the resulting lists shouldn't be difficult.

And your right. Live and learn 🙂. I appologize if I was rude, I had been working on scripting until the wee hours of the night. We all know how easy it is to get frustrated when lack of sleep combines with a stupid problem.
