I need help with a regex!

Could someone help me with a PCRE regex for the following.

From: <Saved by Microsoft Internet Explorer 5>
Subject: Amazon.co.uk: Search Results All Products: children in war
Date: Mon, 1 Dec 2003 21:24:49 -0000
MIME-Version: 1.0
Content-Type: multipart/related;
	type="text/html";
	boundary="----=_NextPart_000_008F_01C3B851.8D341B90"

This is a multi-part message......etc. etc.

The bit I want to match is the "----=_NextPart_000_008F_01C3B851.8D341B90" bit. At the moment I have the following, but it doesn't seem to work.

preg_replace("/.*boundary=\"(\S+)\".*/", "\\1", $input);

The string you want to match isn't really \S (I'm assuming there was supposed to be backslash before hand), the closing delimeter is a ". This makes the character class need to be a little more complex (don't worry, not much more complex) let's try [^"\s] anything except a double quote or a space character.
This gives us

boundary="([^"\s]*)"

or in your code

$regex="boundary=\\"([^\\"\\s]*)\\"";
preg_replace($regex,"\\1",$string);

Are you sure you want to do a search and replace though? That will replace the tag which sets the boundary in the email headers. Do you not want a preg_match so you can then use the boundary in the email body?
