add on year to date

I currently have my dates stored in mysql and displayed on my php page in the following format.

2004-02-05

I would like to know how I can get this date and add one year to it so on my php page I have the following

started
2004-02-05

finished
2005-02-05

I am out of ideas. Can anyone help.
