Deactivating back button

How can I deactivate the back button from the browser in a php script?
I know this is possible, I just see an application doing it...

Do somebody know?

its not possible to do this in php but you can do some tricks with javascript. here is one example
<A HREF="PageName.htm" onclick="javascript:location.replace(this.href); event.returnValue=false; ">No back button when you do this.</A>

just tried that. looks like it only works in IE.

you should never disable someone's back button anyway, it only ends up annoying them. Plus, if they have javascript turned off, it won't matter.
