I want to click on a link from one page and take a value over to the next page.

E.g: Click on "Europe" link. (somehow set ID to europe)
the next page will do the query
SELECT * from cars where continent = ID

is this simple?

i need something like?

then

$_GET id

on the next page?
could some one help me out

but this cant work can it?

put this on your next page


$id = $_GET['id'];

then use $id when selecting from db or for whatever.

PHP is not client side. So whatever info PHP has you have to pass it to your page before hand so JavaScript can make use of it. Otherwise you'll be stuck.

"location='<?php cars.php?id='Australia' ?>");

won't make sense to a browser. You could do this instead:

"location='cars.php?id=Australia");
