Help! Error messages not displaying

A while back I turned off display of error messages (syntax errors, failed msql attempts, etc.) somehow and now I can't figure out how to get it back on. I thought I did it by adding "@" to my database connection string, but removing the @ didn't seem to help.

Any idea where I might have made this setting, and how to get error display turned back on again?

Could be a couple places. php.ini of course. Check the display_errors setting and error_reporting level. You can also set error_reporting levels at runtime by just issuing the error_reporting(something) command in the script.

That's it - thanks! New version of PHP has error display off by default - all the previous versions I've installed had it on by default.
