php code to ftp and drag back files

Hello,

I am still very new at this but would like to know if anyone could help me. I need to write a php program that will ftp to a web server (via boradband) log on with the username and password.

I would need to copy an xml file back locally plus change into a sub directory and copy bac the contents of that to my local PC.

Any ideas ??????

I guess the place to start would be to look at the [man]ftp[/man] functions.
