I am calculating tax which requires floating point numbers. I need to know how to round my numbers and then only have 2 places after the decimal point.
Here is an example of what I am doing:
say the tax is 8.5%
and the item to be purchased is $3.52
3.52 times .085 is .2992
so the tax would be .30 but how do I round it (to get .30) and
then get it in the right format?
