can anyone help me figure out how to make it to where you can log in, and sign up to a site,

i just dont have an idea on how to do this

i need to person to be able to log in
veiw their credits

and or sign up and get a set amount of credits

is their a way to store the username, login info, and other information for each user in a single txt file?

It would be far easier and far quicker to use a database of some sorts (I use MySQL but PosgreSQL is very popular for PHP as well). You would then need a table, users, with the users details in and a balance saying how much credits they have left.
