Hello,

I am developing at site, where if a user goes to the sellingform and they aren't signed in then it goes to the login page for them to sign in. Once signed in it goes back to the sellingform page. A cookie has been created to check if they are signed in or not. The username is being stored in the cookie. Once a goes and fills in the sellingform, this information is put into the database however, i want the information from the cookie(username) and want to add it into database with the item, such that item 1 =username1, item 2=username2 etc.. want to add username without having to input the name again.

OK. Cookie values should be available from the $_COOKIE superglobal array. So, let's say we have a cookie named "user" with the value "Fred".

We can concatenate variables with the '.' (that's a dot, or period, or actually the concatenation operator).

So, you have an item coming from a POSTed form. Maybe it's a beanshooter....

$Value4DB=$_POST['item']."=".$COOKIE['user'];

This variable should read, in this case,

beanshooter=fred
