so the problem is that we have a high traffic site and we're getting thousands of temp files being created in c:\winnt\temp\ that aren't going away. within a couple hours, we reach the 65000 file boundary and iis/php quits responding. i'm assuming these are cache files but why aren't they being deleted after being used?
is this a windows bug to not divide these files into subfolders? not sure what the correct solution is here. actually the correct solution is to be running on linux but client loves their windows ;)
so what do you all suggest? as a temporary solution i'm going to create a reaper script but i'd like to be able to have a less kludgey solution.
