Hey all! I have been developing sites using php for a while now (im using dwmx and a little hand coding, im no expert but pretty switched on) I was wondering if someone could help me with a breif overview of how to protect files using php etc.
Im building a site in which I wish to disallow users to download files until they have signed up for membership.
Is this as simple as checkin for the existance of a cookie made in the sign-up process before downloading is allowed.
Also how can I protect the files from someone that may make a not of the url and directly download without being logged in?
