Now, if this is just a matter of changing the syntax for updating a type (memo) field, super 🙂 If it means changing the field to type (text) in order to update the field, then that isn't possible. The data that is going in field 'thoughts' could possibly have a great number of characters, far more than the 255 capacity. Anyone else here able to set up MySQL on a WinXP Pro box? This is crazy, I've been fooling with this for at least 6-8 hours in trying to get solve this UPDATE problem (to the Access 2000) database and setting up MySQL.
