Search Engine Placement

Hi there,
Another question for this forum! 🙂 My site: thecomputersite.com has a script named forums.php which is linked to from the index.php page (which is listed in google).

What I don't understand is why google can find the index.php page and list it but it won't list anything else (other than index.php for the forum).

i.e. when I type in tutorial in site search on google it shows www.thecomputersite.com but it doesn't also list www.thecomputersite.com/tutorials.php

I have another site that's been up for just over 2 months with the same problem.

Your site is still ranked very low(it has a PR of 0 out of 10) and there are no inbound links to your site listed in google! Might just think your site isn't important enough to spider the whole thing! Contact websites similar to yours and ask to swap links with them, then just make a links page to add all the there links to you site and get them to do the same and google will see your site as more important! Also very important is getting listed at dmoz.org! 😉 Also note that google only does a deep crawl every 1-2 months(the other times you see it in your stats it's google's freshbot that just checks for new content) so it may take some time, then again the end of the month is nearing so you might want to hurry getting those inbound links!

How do you find out what number you are placed in google? You mentioned that Chris' website was 0 out of 10.

If your site is listed in dmoz.org you can check google's directory for it and usually it will show the sites PR next to it and if you are running windows you can download the google toolbar(http://toolbar.google.com)
