PHP Mail problem on different platforms

Hi there I wonder if some one could help me out.

I have 2 websites which I have almost finished building with fasthosts.co.uk

I have one of them mirex.co.uk on a Linux platform and the other (which I have the problem with) pnjc.co.uk on a windows platform. Unfortuantley this is the only way it can be.

The mail script I have pasted below works fine on the linux server but not on the windows server.?? Scripts are activated on both of the server and a php-test has shown that it is working fine on both.

I am really frustrated with this, I have tried a few variations with the script but web design is not my strong point.

Can anyone help me,

Make sure the sendmail_from (or something like that) attribute is set in your php.ini file. If not, use ini_set() 🙂

Hi there, I have tried that also without success.
Not entirely sure that I am doing it correctly though.
Would you be able to show me what I should be doing.

I used ini_set ( "sendmail_from", "[e-mail]" );
I cannot directly edit the php.ini file as I do not have access to it.

like I said this is not my strong point.

At the very top of your code, try to use

ini_set('sendmail_from', '[e-mail]');

Have you checked the mail settings in the php.ini file? If you can, upload a page with this code in it:

<?php

phpinfo();

?>

That will give you all the settings in the php.ini file.
