[Resolved] Apache doesn't process unless <?php

I''m not sure if this is the case but my apache2 installation does not process php pages unless the script starts with '<?php'.

If I start the scipt with '<?' nothing is processed.

Is this an apache thing?

Could be that short tags have been disabled in php.ini
