Any help with this query is really appreciated as i am new to mysql and unsure of the correct syntax to use.

I need to count the total items in a project but:

1) If 'jobs_available' active='no' - it will not get counted.
2) If 'catagory' publish='no' - it will not get counted.
3) If 'catagory' archived='yes' - it will not get counted.

TABLE = 'jobs_available'

project | active | id

itemA | no | 1
itemB | yes | 7
itemC | yes | 8

TABLE = 'catagory'

project | publish | archived | ID

itemA | yes | no | 1
itemB | yes | no | 2
itemC | no | yes | 3

I think there might be a problem with your database schema.
