[Resolved] $image='tab_$cl_$cat.gif' Where is the problem

I have two variables

$cl='g'
$cat='1'

I want to load an image tab_g_1.gif

I have made this variable $image='tab$cl$cat.gif'

but the images dont loads and its path shows tab_1.gif instead of tab_g_1.gif (omits _g) Is it a naming convention problem
