I'm having a problem when i set up a system DSN on the new Windows 2003 Server to an access database that is not local to the machine. (No better way to say it than it just does not seem to be avalible thru odbc). On windows 2000 this worked fine.
What i'm thinking is because of windows 2003 security settings, there is a problem. I came to that assumption because when i got to open up the access database from the network drive it is located on, i get the Windows 2003 Security Prompt.
I'm thinking that is the problem? 😕 What i did do, because win2k3 and IE are basically fully integrated, was follow the suggestions of someone else on another site and lower my security settings thru the browser; That stopped the prompt when i go to open the file on the network drive, but when my PHP script attempts to use ODBC, it does not work and when an ASP application attempts to use another access database, still no go. 🙁
