is there any code out there that retrieves the sysmbol when entering the stock name. There are lots of code which retrive stock info but they require the user to know the stock symbol
The only way I can see to do this would be to find a site that you can trick into giving you the info, or hold a database of all the company names. Neither option is very easy or 100% infallible.
