You'll definitely want to change your position to the computer. If you find your wrists getting sore, then its time to stop and take a break (and think about changing seating positions).
I try to focus on keeping my wrists straight as possible. It doesn't always happen, but the moment I start to feel them ache just a little, I take a break and change positions.
My mom has played violin pretty much her entire life. Violinist (as well as other instrument players) have a lot of problems with carpal tunnel syndrome and she recommended the following exercise which helps loosen things up and releave the pain somewhat:
Make a fist and clench as hard as you can. Hold it for 5-10 seconds (doesn't have to be exact). Then open your hand and try to seperate and pull your fingers and thumb back as far as possible, but do this without pushing your hand on something or having outside help (not sure if this is explained clear enough for you - if not let me know and I'll try again). Hold your hand open like this for 5-10 seconds. Then repeat this several times (maybe a half dozen to a dozen times). You may feel a slight burning sensation where your wrist is at while doing this. When you relax your hand though, you shouldn't have much pain (if you do, then go see a doctor).
Remember, I'm not a doctor.
In a worst case scenerio, a doctor would need to perform surgery to trim down some of the tendon(s). When I was taking percussion lessons, my drum teacher had this done and its not a fun experience. It takes a good several months to regain full use of your hand after this surgery. Although a quick search on google shows that surgery is a last resort and there's other alternatives a doctor can do/recommend.
