Cookies in headers

I am having a problem i would like to add this cookie in the header of my mail()

$HTTP_SESSION_VARS['_amember_user']['login'];

When i send the mail to the user the cookie dosnt show up due to the fact that the cookies are not on there phone. or is there a way of sending the cookie, but i think it can be done in a mail header i guess

What do you mean by sending cookies in mail headers? IS that even possible, and why would you want to do this?

ok say i have to send a php page to another browser i.e. a mobile phone
and it needs this url to work
http://whatever.com/username/file.txt (username is the cookie set in the initial cookie)

but when the other browser gets the url it only says http://whatever.com//file.txt

1st i dont want to have to log in on the the other browser to set the cookie.

2nd i want to know if it is possible to send a cookie to another browser in any other mean, instead of loging in the other browser.

Cookies are specific to HTTP. You can't send them in mail.

Why can't you just send a URL with the proper values?

Exactly what I thought. Unless there is some new thing that I am not aware of, which might happen sometimes I might add.

oh IC, then how would the url look with the proper values

Does the website belong to you? If so then look at source code and check the username/password variables then use something like index.php?username=gary&password=mypass , just an example
