Wierd Login Requirement

For some reason whenever someone tries to access the php portion of my website it asks them for a log in. I can use my windows login screen name to gain access to these sections, but nothing else will work. All the html only pages load fine, and dont seem to require any extra login. The website is Yesterdays PC's

you have permissions set for php files Im not sure how to set this differently

Thats what i thought but our networking guy cant figure out what it is that he has set wrong. Its getting quite annoying since all of our inventory pages use PHP, and none of the PHP pages are accessable.

If it's IIS, does the IUSR_machinename have access to the right folders?? You could probly google to find out exactly what it needs access to.

Hello, I am Klown's Network Administrator and yes we are running IIS5.

After making a copy of the folders permision set, I just added Full Permissions on every folder and subfolder under the webroot for YesterdaysPCs and assigned the new permision set to IUSR_<machinename>. In addition to that I removed all the explicet permision denies within that list as well.

I retested and we still get a microsoft login window popping up.

Any other ideas? Any other places that you can think of that might have restrict the user from accessing PHP scripts without logging in?

yes you not only have to share folders I think you have to share files :S IIS is werid and I dont like it. Apache is sooo much ....... well............easier going....... 😉

select a folder right click it
and make sure you have run scripts checked 😉

It must be something wrong with your general permissions now that I think about it. Have you restarted the server after altering these permissions?
