Passing URL to Form Results

I have a form that works fine the way it is - it e-mails me the results every time.

What I need to add to it is a feature that will allow the URL that the visitor clicked on to be passed on to me in the form results.

For example, if I had "domainA.com" and "domainB.com" and "DomainC.com" but "DomainA.com" is the only domain that actually has the form - domainB and domainC just redirect to domainA.

Now I am doing advertising in different newspapers and want to track my results automatically without the user having to select which newspaper or domain he entered. If he navigates to "domainB.com" I would like that domain name to be sent to me in my form results.

Is this possible? Any help would be greatly appreciated as it took days for me to just get the form working correctly.

Use $_SERVER['HTTP_REFERRER'] with parse_url() to get the host, and then echo the result into a hidden form field.

I am not a programmer, so would you please show me how this would look when coded properly?

Also, when first visiting the site, the user goes to index.htm, then clicks on a link to information.htm (the form) and then clicks on the submit button. Send-mail.php processes the form and subsequently send me the e-mail results and takes them to a thank-you page. How can I get the referring URL (domainB or C)from the first page (index.htm) and carry it forward till it gets processed by send-mail.php?

That's a bit more complicated. You would probably want to use sessions. On every page you would have script to check to see if the referrer came from a different domain, and if so create a session variable with it. That's more coding than I can do for free. 🙁 Sorry.

Someone else here might be willing to do it.
