Download Image option?

I wrote PHP script that resize the image. I want to add opion download resize image.

So when I'm doing it through HTML
<A href="image"> Download</A>

It opens the image but not downloading the image. Is there a way to download the image?

Have it aimed to a PHP file

Than from there just use headers

header('Content-type: image/jpg');
header('Content-Disposition: attachment; filename="filename.jpg"');
readfile('filename.jpg');

Its a start you will need to modify it to gather the type of file, and its filename

I modify the lines below but get the message:
Warning: Cannot modify header information - headers already sent by (output started at /var/www/html/uploadproc.php:48) i

Any ideas , what can cause the message?

make sure there is no spaces after the ";". Even one space after the ";" will cause that error. No extra white space is allowed like spaces while doing the header code, you can tab but not space. That might be your problem?

Can header be locate at the end of the file?

Nope. It has to be before any other code, be php or html or any other lang. that is executed.

I made it work, but it require new file. Because
header should be at the top. And in the previous file I was showing the resize image.

header('Content-type: image/jpg');
header('Content-Disposition: attachment; filename="file"');
$file_to_download = $_REQUEST['filedownload'];
readfile("resize/$file_to_download");
?>
