any ideas how to find the path of a site using the url, i need it so that i can use the opendir and readdir functions. I know i can find mine by looking at my webhosting but is there a way php or any other script could.

what about finding and external one by using a url
You cant do it on an external site unless you use FTP which you'd require the FTP details
