[Resolved] Sports League Standings

NEWBIE TROUBLE
I'm having trouble figuring out how to post wins and losses in a table. I have created a team table, and a scores table. Once the user enters the winning team - score, and losing team - score, I need to have the win count as one and same with the loss. Each time a user enters the score it would automatically update the standings table with either a win or a loss and add it up throughout the year.

I have everything else built for teams, and scores but this is driving me crazy! 😕

All I need is someone to help me get on the right track.

I'll ask you like the ones that have helped me so much here...... Where is the code you have so far? That is the only way to see what it is you might be doing wrong. I am working on a similar issue lol.

Check out WebLeague by doing an internet search for it. It probably already does what you are wanting to do. If not, it will at least point you in the right direction.

Thanks for the idea with WEBLeague. I was able to figure out what I needed to do to create a wins/loss column. It was actually quite easy. Isn't that the way it always goes!

Here is the code used:

$query = "update standings SET wscore = wscore + 1, lscore = lscore where team= '$team";
$result = @ ($query);
$query = "update standings SET wscore = wscore, lscore = lscore +1, where team = '$team';
$result = @($query);
