You'd probably need some movie-editing application with a command-line interface that you can use (dunno if Gimp MovieGear (if I remember the name right) does that, but seeing as the original Gimp does...). It also depends of course on the details of the movie format, and whether it's supported by whatever application you find. But remember, the first frame of a movie is typically blank black!
