[Resolved] mkdir

I'm trying to use

mkdir()

but the directories created have CHMOD=755...

I've tried

<?php
mkdir("/path/to/my/dir", 0700);
?> 

and

<?php
mkdir("/path/to/my/dir"); //to get 777 by default but the same outcome 755
?> 

Any ideas why?

Might be because of your default [man]umask[/man]
