Odes to the Queen....

Well, we all know who the Queen of the EL is ...
(for those of you who don't, her nick starts with EL.... 😉

I wrote a little ditty about her in another thread; then I thought ... Elizabeth really needs a thread where we can all just have fun in tribute to Her Majesty ...

... so here 'tis. We've all demonstrated our poetic skill in various ways here ... this time, we can use poetry (and music, perhaps) as God intended....to woo women....

Sung to the tune of "Gilligan's Island"

Elizabeth's a geek-like chick
who's very, very smart;
and if you mess around with her,
you're sure to feel the LART!

She has it with her all the time
in case someone is bad;
and even tho' it's all in fun
sometimes it hurts a tad....

We need more geeks like 'Lizabeth,
(although there's tough to find)
so when we step across the brink
they'll kick us in the hind!

So watch your mouth (and your backside)
and innuendo, too;
Because we all needing LARTing some,
and 'Lizbeth will get you!!

When I read the title I thought you were talking about Queen Elizabeth of England because of her recent knighting of Tim Berners-Lee. I got a little confused (and the patriot in me got a little offended) when I read the poem before the other text. :p

Probably more like too much pizza. Same effect, though.

Elizabeth may have just had her second child, but I doubt there's any way that her waistband is > 40 inches. Heck, she's back to housework 2 days or less afterward ... she's probably back to perfectly normal by now (and no, I don't know, nor care exactly, nor really want to know, what those measurements are....)

You have so much to look forward to, Piersk. 20 lbs or so for college. Another 10-20 for marriage. Add another 5 to 15 for each pregnancy thereafter. It's not "middle age spread", it's "experience based sympathetic fulfillment". 😃

Or maybe it's not that way over there....

Yes, I know your gender. I said "sympathetic fullfillment"...for each pregnancy in which your wife gains X pounds, you'll gain x/2 pounds ... the diff...she'll lose it afterwards...

If I weren't 6'3" tall, I might well be fat by now .... :rolleyes:

Dalecosp, thanks for the ditty, but surely you jest about being back to regular size. It's not a pretty sight, trust me- Buzz and goldbug will soon be able to attest. But I figure after a few drinks I'll look much better- that's my plan anyway.

Andymoo- that's quite lovely, but umm.. who's anne?

Don't bother askin the yanks, andy, they'll never know 😉

FYI, it was Margeret (HM's sister) who was on the gin and Anne (HM's daughter) who was the first royal ever to appear in court because he dog bit someone elses' (and yes, it mauled one of the corgies to death too).
