How can I get the connection numbers of the Mysql?

I am writing a program,because of the intercurrent problem, I have to get the connection ids of the Client side to database before updating it, how can I get them?

I need your help.

I think you have misunderstood what I am meaning, what I want to do is writing codes into a .php file which could get the connection numbers and judge what to do next. So "Goto into phpMyadmin -> Show Processes " is not the way I want, Any way,Thank you all the same :-)

I have already tried those two functions,but they didn't work as I expected,In my computer , the two functions only showed that there were 3 threads, 2 of their's status are "sleep",but the fact is I already had 5 remote clients logged to my database. I don't know why, but I already have another way to resolve the problem, it is easy than this method, and what's more ,it works well.
